Beautiful weekend

After storms and rain on Friday night, it has turned into a beautiful weekend. I woke up early on Saturday and by noon I had my haircut, mani/pedi, grocery shopped, picked up a few things at Target, and had my dog groomed. It was so nice to get my list done and still feel like I had a day left to do things. So I took a little nap, read a book, and went out for Vietnamese food last night. Aah! I love weekends like this!

I would like to thank those of you who left messages after my last post. I think the next few weeks are going to be difficult. I talked with my mom and a few friends about the situation. I'm sticking with my agency. I'm going to wait until the summer and can re-evaluate then. I think I'll have a better idea of the situation. Hopefully there will have been a few referrals by then!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!

Hang in there, Cara. I know where you are coming from, and many days it is hard for me to hang in there what with the evergrowing wait. We will have to do an update to our homestudy this summer (we moved, plus our homestudy will hit its one year anniversary come september anyway) and we might reconsider our options then. We, to, are at month three of our wait, which seems like ages, yet our agency quotes 12-15 month for a referal and another 4-5 months for travel....not the timeline I expected when we started down this road. but heck, we have thousands sunk into this allready, so its hard to change course now.
your gonna be all right, and you know you can email me anytime you need a shoulder to cry on or need to vent your frustration. my email is angelsunday@msn.com.

It doesn't seem fair that it only takes 9 months for stupid people who should need licenses to have a kid and a smart, amazing, beautiful, dedicated, caring, loving and just incredible woman like yourself should be on edge for so long. Your day will come and it will be the perfect day. Not everything happens for a reason and silly cliches are just silly, but in this case I hope that you know that what you are doing is a gift and you will be rewarded. Miss you.
