Dinner
I'm a little embarrassed to admit this knowing some of the people that will read this, but I have never had Vietnamese food. I've had Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and extend out of the Asian Pacific to Ethiopian, Afghan, Pakistani, Russian as well as food from most of the European countries. I just have never had anything beyond spring rolls that is Vietnamese. Until tonight. I had the pleasure of dining at a local Vietnamese restaurant and all I can say is yummy! I had catfish with spices and fish sauce cooked in a clay pot with rice. It was the best catfish I've ever had! I'm looking forward to going back and trying other items on the menu.

well if your embarrased, then I realy should be embarrased, as I have never had Vietnamese food either. Or any of the other foods you mentioned: save for Chinese. I figure I am either going to lose a lot of weight in Vietnam or discover that my taste buds are not as "fearful" of new foods as they have been up to this point in my life. ha!
Guess what? Me either. I've been meaning to. I love Thai, Japanese and Chinese. Is it anything like any of those?
We just had Vietnamese food for the first time a few months ago. We found we had a really good Vietnamese restaurant not to far from us.
We just had Vietnamese food this weekend as well! Spring rolls of course and then pho ga (chicken) which we loved!
